Santa Ana Winds FC
Winds FC is a soccer team founded in Santa Ana, California. The team was established in 2011 and played in the National Premier Soccer League West-Southern Conference. We are looking to launch our professional platform as well as our youth development program to set a real foundation for soccer culture in the City of Santa Ana. Our Semi-Professional Team, Winds FC is the only team in the Orange County area to participate at any semi-professional or professional club level in 2011-12.
The team's colors are orange, black and white.
It is important to note that the Santa Ana Winds FC did not participate in any matches of the most current 2015 United Premier Soccer League season, nor did the team play regular UPSL season home games anywhere in Santa Ana city proper nor at Santa Ana Stadium, also known as "Eddie West Field." Instead, the club is regrouping for a potential new season in the UPSL with the inclusion of a new coach.
Santa Ana Winds FC have played most of their regular season matches outside of the City of Santa Ana in previous seasons, namely at the Orange County Great Park. Winds FC have also held occasional playoff matches at Santa Ana College, and occasional exhibition games at Santa Ana Stadium, namely a match against a Chivas USA U-18 squad in January of 2011, a match against a Club Atlas U-20 squad in March of 2011, and a match against a Chivas de Guadalajara U-20 squad in November of 2011.
